Capture strategic points across the map is an official feature, next to building the base and recruiting troops. At the loop level the action is one step: send the army to the objective. The game then says whether it worked.
Before you push
A bigger, more varied army makes the push easier, but no minimum force is published. If the outpost is still bare, finish a build and recruit first. Starting outpost is that opening. Named point locations, capture timers, and player-count requirements are not published, so this guide does not invent a route across the map.
Steps
- Build and upgrade the base so you can field troops and unlocks.
- Recruit troops and unlock the families you already have access to: infantry, tanks, artillery, helicopters, and the vehicles and aircraft line.
- Send the army to the strategic point. Capturing is the army going to the objective, not a separate menu that has been documented.
- Wait for the confirmation line before you treat the point as yours.
- Leave enough force to answer a counterattack. In recorded play, taken points were attacked and lost.
Success lines
| What happened | Line | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Capture completes | Point secured. | The point is yours |
| Capture completes | Objective taken. Good work, commander. | The point is yours |
| Held point attacked | One of our points is under attack | A point you hold is being hit |
| Point lost | We've lost the point, commander. | You no longer hold it |
| Point lost | We've lost a point, commander | Same loss, slight wording change |
| Point lost | The objective is lost | Same loss |
Wording can vary. Treat a secured or taken line after your push as success. Treat the under-attack line as the moment to respond, before the loss line.
After it is yours
In the recorded session, oil pumping started after Point secured. If cash is the reason you took the point, stay and pump before you walk off to the next objective. That scene is written up in Income and oil. If the under-attack line plays, defending this point comes before a new push.
A lost point becomes an objective again. Capturing objectives is what the army is for, so you can retake it. The loss still deletes the hold you had, including the pump ground from that session.
If the capture seems stuck
No stall message is documented. What is documented is the success line. If you never hear secured or taken, do not mark the point done. Check that the army actually went to the objective, and check that a loss line did not already play. Battle alerts lists the other lines that can fire while you are on the point.
